THE MOUTH is a powerful effect that can generate melodies and synthetic sounds based on an audio signal. Made specifically by Tim Exile for performance based manipulation, THE MOUTH is equally useful in recording and studio situations. To put it simply, THE MOUTH is a synthesizer you can play with your voice, and more impor­tantly, you don't need to be able to sing! THE MOUTH works by detecting the pitch of an incoming audio signal, which is then auto-tuned to a selected musical scale or notes from a MIDI device. The auto-tuned signal is used to trigger the synthesizer which in conjunc­tion with the gate parameters adds additional melody and harmony. Besides the synthesiz­er sound, you can also mix in unprocessed audio, a vocoder and effects.
